The People Behind
the
Magic

A small, passionate team - bound by a shared belief in the power of culture to build a border-free world.

"The process of building teams who can create the magic - that is what is exciting & powerful"

- DEVIKA SHAHANI, FOUNDER

LEADERSHIP

Devika Shahani

Devika is the founder of The Dragon Rose Project — a company she built from the ground up, inspired by her mentor Daisaku Ikeda and his belief in the transformative power of culture.

Through the company she has produced Bombay Talkies, Pereira's Bakery, A Few Good Men (Aadyam Season 5), and As Bees in Honey Drown (Aadyam Season 6). She curated annual 26/11 commemorative shows since 2000 and has led youth-focused events for NGOs and the Public Concern for Governance Trust.

Devika developed Mumbai Star — which made its debut in Japan and has now been brought home to Indian audiences. Her vision is to create pieces of dance, music, theatre and film that leave a lasting impact and help build a border-free world through the power of what only human beings can do: culture.
